Zachary Toves, DVM

Dr. Zachary Toves grew up in Trussville, Alabama, and has always had a natural love for animals and the community he calls home. After graduating from UAB, he went on to earn his DVM from the Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. In practice, he’s especially drawn to soft tissue surgery, dermatology, and behavior—areas where he enjoys solving problems and helping pets feel comfortable and understood.

Dr. Toves is a family‑focused husband to Tima and proud dad to a daughter and son. Their family also includes Toph, his 11‑year‑old Rottweiler who’s been with him through school, moves, and plenty of life adventures. When he’s not at the clinic, he’s usually spending time with his family, traveling, cheering on UAB sports, or exploring hiking trails.

With a genuine passion for veterinary medicine, Dr. Toves aims to make vet visits feel relaxed, supportive, and straightforward for pets and their people.
